THE CONSTITUTION

FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION THE GAMBIA AND CHINA PREAMBLE APPRECIATING the contribution of The Gambia- China bilateral relations on our communities, cultural, educational and social lives. CONSCIOUSNESS of the need to forge and foster the bonds of friendship established amongst the two Nations. RECOGNIZING that education and culture are basic human rights, and a that no nation can develop without education henceforth a moral and national duty on us to compliment all educational efforts aimed at developing our countries. ACKNOWLEDGING that the education of our youths holds the future of our nations and would require considerable attention at national and international levels in line with the objectives of the World Declaration on Education for All, 1990. CONVINCED THAT together we can better synergize our efforts, where appropriate and feasible, for the advancement of the educational and cultural objectives of The Gambia, and the People Republic of China.. WE the several members whose names are subscribed hereunder do sincerely and earnestly resolved to constitute ourselves into The Friendship Association of Gambia and China (FAGC) and do hereby adopt and bind ourselves with this Constitution. ARTICLE 1 NAME AND LOCATION The Association hereby constituted shall be called "Friendship Association of The Gambia and China" hereinafter referred to as the "FAGC". 1.1 The registered office of the FAGC shall be situated at KERR SERIGN, in the West Coast Region of The Gambia and the said office space shall be shared by the Vice President, Secretary, Accountant, Social Secretary, Audit departments and Administrator(s). 1.2 1.3 The FAGC shall be free to establish social media and/or other online platforms to facilitate networking among its members locally and in the diaspora. Any alteration to the name must be made at a General Meeting of the FAGC 1.4 and passed by a majority of not less than two-thirds of the members. FAGC shall be deemed to have come into force after its registration with the 1.5 Office of the Registrar General or any other relevant authority in The Gambia
